CRYSTAL METH ON INCREASE

To the editor;

I attended an open forum on crystal meth last week held at Thompson 
Rivers University. The forum was hosted by our two Kamloops and area 
MLA's Mr. Claude Richmond and Kevin Kruger. Guest speakers included 
the Solicitor General of B.C., a doctor and a drug and alcohol 
counselor. The forum was to talk about the spread of meth and to 
develop strategies for dealing with the problem.

It was amazing to hear some of the recent reported findings, etc-. 
Things like Canada is on the increase for meth while the U.S. has 
seen a decline in use of this drug. The number of young people who 
willingly are taking meth on an average of once a week is scary to 
say the least, never mind, how many kids have unknowingly taken it 
and are now suffering the consequences.
