I believe that the Pasig police, primarily the chief, should accept responsibility for the flourishing of the drug market under their very nose. This is not only a gross negligence of duty. It is flaunting a menace to the youth by allowing it to operate with seeming impunity. Responsibility for this depravity should extend to the leaders of the barangay where the "shabu bazaar" was operating. The mayor, no less, cannot escape accountability for it. What the open marketing of shabu in Pasig projects is the laxity and permissiveness of the local authorities on drug trafficking which destroys the minds and morals of the youth. For three years, according to reports, the shabu business has flourished. Without the knowledge of the barangay captain and his men? Administrative sanctions are in order against those accountable for this embarrassing incident. Emilio Nicolas, North Olympus, Quezon City - --- MAP posted-by: Tom
