LAW NO ONE UNDERSTANDS

Re: "Anti-meth law 'better on paper' - State acknowledges not
checking stores' records on purchases," Thursday news story.

As a daily Claritin user, I can tell you it is a major inconvenience
to stand in line to fill out a log to buy something that I should
just be able to pick up off the counter. This is just another example
of inept legislation without much thought to enforcement or use of
the resulting information.

Selfishly, though, I wish someone would just read the law to local
druggists. They seem to believe they can only sell two packages of 10
pills per transaction, rather than the two 15-pill packages I need to
get a one-month supply.

It sure would save legitimate users a lot of unnecessary trips to the
drug store. Surely they don't limit us to increase the number of
visits so they can sell us something else on the extra trips? That
would really tick me off.
