TORIES AND EINSTEIN

Re: Tories have 'faith' in get-tough gun sentences, but no evidence 
they'll work, May 11.

Columnist Dan Gardner's assessment of the Tories' "faith" in 
mandatory minimum sentences brings to mind Einstein's famous dictum 
that insanity is performing the same failed experiment over and over 
while expecting a different result.
