Many physicians agree that marijuana can a beneficial form of
treatment for patients with everything from cancer to migraines. Even
so, some people still balk at the mere mention of the word
"marijuana." Ironically the most reluctant to accept modern science is
not the average citizen but those in politics. This is obvious when
one looks to recent polls showing massive support in Illinois for a
medical marijuana law, and explains why our legislature hasn't passed
any of the medical marijuana bills introduced over the last few years.

I have seen the science that supports the use of medical marijuana. I
have seen the numbers that show the public supports it. What I don't
see are our legislators acting on any of this. Where are they?
