SHOW US THE DATA

Re: Dealers lace street drugs with deadly meth (Paul Turenne, Jan. 24).

"Now when you buy marijuana, half the time it's laced with meth,"
says Sgt. Kelly Dennison of the Winnipeg police.

Really, Sgt. Dennison ... is that so? I'd like you to produce the
record of laboratory analyses showing methamphetamine adulteration in
50% of marijuana seizures, please.

I'd be a bit surprised to learn that marijuana seized by Winnipeg
police over the past year has been found to be "laced with meth" even
a tenth of 1% of the time ... but to say that meth-laced pot is 500
times more prevalent than that can only be either a demonstration of
your ignorance or simply a bald-faced lie.
