WHAT IS THE DEA SMOKING?

Re "Medical pot dispensary raided by DEA agents," Sept. 27: This is a
sad time here in California.

More than 10 years ago, we the voters approved Proposition 215.

But the federal government does not see it that way.

It still treats marijuana as a hard drug. There are so many other
things the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration could be doing
instead of stealing the medicine of patients here in our state.

I would like to know why the DEA is not finding better ways to spend
its money on other things like busting meth labs.

I am fed up with the DEA saying that marijuana is not a medicine.

If it is not a medicine, then why was the federal government paying
for a small program in Mississippi to grow medicinal marijuana and
give it to a handful of people?
