FREE-MARKET SOLUTION

RCMP Sgt. Scott Rintoul's assumption that legalizing marijuana will
give children more access to the drug is wrong.

It was always easier for me to buy pot than alcohol. One is sold in
stores and requires ID, the other is sold by some guy at the street
corner. Which do you think is easier for teens to buy?

Sen. Larry Campbell's view is excellent, aside from his proposition to
"tax the hell" out of pot.

Just as I don't appreciate paying a 110-per-cent markup (tax) on wine
to the B.C. Liquor Board, neither would I appreciate paying obscene
taxes on marijuana.

A free-market solution coupled with current consumption taxes would be
the best option.
