"Marijuana can trigger psychosis," said Trudeau, something that has never been proven. I'd love to see the scientific document that supports Trudeau, because there is a mountain of evidence that positively implicates marijuana as a treatment, not a cause, for mental illnesses. As a registered medical user of marijuana, I've found that quitting pharmaceuticals and using marijuana daily has been instrumental in my recovery. Trudeau concludes that, because she was using pot at the time of her psychosis, the pot must have "caused" the psychosis. But her logic doesn't work, because correlation is not causation. The same could be said for coffee, television, chocolate or masturbation. I submit that Trudeau's mental problems were not "caused" by marijuana, but were more from carrying the burden of being the most embarrassing "First Lady" Canada has ever had.
