DRUG LAW REFORM IS COMING

Facts disagree with Joel Nosek's assertion, "No one is listening to
.. and no one cares," about credible drug law reform (Forum, "No One
Is Listening" Feb. 7). Cannabis laws are changing, and states are
voting even to re-legalize the God-given plant.

Mandatory minimum sentences that lock up nonviolent drug offenders
are being changed. Drug-addicted citizens are more likely to be
considered medical problems than criminals. Like the original
prohibition, the sequel cannot work and causes more problems;
credible drug law reform is imminent.

Politicians, families and educated citizens are listening and care.
