NOT THE SOLUTION

Re: Fighting growing drug problem with bylaw (Feb 14).

Drugs are contraband in Canadian penitentiaries. Everything entering
or exiting the facility is checked. Inmates can be search at anytime
with or without reason. Tips from some inmates are used to keep other
prisoners in line.

Drugs are available in Canadian penitentiaries.

Cst. Tracy Dunsmore seems to think that Merritt is a penitentiary.

I have been through Merritt many times with my family on vacation. It
did not seem like a penitentiary at all. It is a beautiful place, with
wonderful people. I don’t understand why you would want to make it a
prison.

After Cst. Dunsmore has eradicated the drug problem, I wonder what the
next reason will be to employ the new bylaw?
