CORRECTION

In an editorial this past Oct. 20, 2006, on the firing of the chief of
the Kativik Regional Police Force, Brian Jones, Nunatsiaq News stated
that some elected officials participate in the illegal drug and booze
economy. Nunatsiaq News has no basis to make that statement and it
retracts it. Nunatsiaq News apologizes to any elected officials,
including members of the Kativik Regional Government, who may have
been harmed by that statement.
