DRUG WAR IS $700 MILLION YEARLY INSANITY

After reading the article: "Bush visit to Colombia spurs mixed
reception," I wanted to laugh, but upon thinking about it for a
minute, it made me sick to my stomach.

More than $700 million a year in United States aid to fight drugs and
guerrillas. Are we insane?

We've been pouring outrageous amounts of money into this country to
fight drugs for more than 40 years, and there are more drugs coming
into our country today than ever before.

Colombia has become one of many black holes for American dollars, with
absolutely no return on our investment.

Now they're talking about a $43 billion, six-year plan to fight drugs
and guerrillas. The guerrillas are the drug lords; they're
well-equipped gangs who have had a stranglehold on the Colombian
government ever since running drugs to America became a
multibillion-dollar enterprise.

Bush relentlessly talks about fighting a war on terrorism. Colombia
has unintentionally become the most effective terrorist nation in
bringing the American way of life to its knees. It's done it from
within, by flooding our country with drugs that have negatively
affected every aspect of our lifestyle.

Stop supporting these governments that take our money and hate us
anyway.
