3 PULASKI STUDENTS CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED BATTERY

Teens Face Up to 6 Years in Prison

Three Pulaski High School students have been charged with aggravated
battery for allegedly beating a friend who they believe told police
another friend sold marijuana at the school.

[redacted] appeared Thursday in Brown County Circuit Court for the
balance of an initial appearance. They're accused of beating up a
17-year-old on April 23. [redacted] is also charged in the case.

The 17-year-old male was also a student at the school, according to a
criminal complaint.

[redacted] believed the victim told a police officer that [redacted]
attempted to sell him marijuana on April 23 in a school bathroom, the
complaint said.

A Pulaski School District liaison officer said a student reported
seeing another student purchase marijuana during fifth period in a
boy's bathroom.

The officer notified the high school principal and took the second
student to an office where he admitted purchasing a Ziploc bag
containing marijuana for $30 from [redacted], the complaint said.

[redacted] was taken to the office, where school officials found $60
in cash and 3.76 grams of marijuana, the complaint said. [redacted]
was arrested at the school

Later that day, the 17-year-old got in a car with two friends who
said they were going to another friend's house, the complaint said.

Instead the two dropped the victim off on Deadend Road just north of
Wisconsin 54 and off of North Overland Road in Hobart, the complaint
said. That's where [redacted] jumped the victim, the complaint said.

Two Hobart residents found the victim wandering on the road and
covered in blood. They took the teen to their North Overland Road
home and called police, the complaint said.

The teen was transported to a local hospital. Doctors said he
suffered from a broken nose, a concussion, a loose tooth and a
swollen left eye, the complaint said. Police said the victim
couldn't remember anything from the incident and said it seemed like a dream.

[redacted] are scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing
on the aggravated battery charge -- [redacted]. [redacted] is
expected back on Wednesday for the balance of his initial appearance.

The three face up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Investigators from the Oneida Police Department said others were
involved in the brawl but declined to state the number involved or if
they are seeking charges for the others because the case remains
under investigation.

A preliminary hearing is also scheduled for May 11 for [redacted],
who was charged with delivery of tetrahydrocannabinols on or near a
school. Tetrahydrocannabinols is the active ingredient in marijuana.

The three received a $500 cash bond.
