METH LAWSUIT DEMONSTRATES LACK OF PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

Re: Woman wins crystal meth lawsuit (SP, Jan. 7). At what point does
an adult take responsibility for her own actions?

Sandy Bergen sued the provider of the drugs she overdosed on as "a
way of holding him responsible." She purchased the drugs, she
overdosed on the drugs, she suffered a heart attack and became
comatose because of the drugs.

Yet, somehow, she is not culpable for her actions?

Sadly, this story illustrates exactly what is wrong with society
today: nobody takes responsibility for their choices. They would
rather blame someone else.
