Referenced: http://www.mapinc.org/drugnews/v08/n060/a04.html REGULATE, TAX AND CONTROL I'm writing about the letter from Bill Kushniryk claiming that pot is somehow a gateway substance to hard drugs. I wonder if Kushniryk or any other readers have ever been offered a free bottle of whiskey, rum or vodka when they buy beer or wine? I haven't, either. However, I was offered free samples of cocaine, heroin and meth from marijuana sellers. This would never happen in a regulated market because the marijuana vendors could lose their licenses. Regulate, tax and control the sale of marijuana and we close the so-called gateway to hard drugs. KIRK MUSE (The debate goes on.) - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
