LEGALISE THESE DRUGS

Antonio Maria Costa (Debate & Opinion, 5 November) left out one huge
group of amphetamine users: United States air force and navy pilots.
Routinely, these men and women are given pills to keep them awake, fly
and even drop bombs under their influence.

Keeping this drug prohibited simply makes taking the illegal ones much
more dangerous. Amphetamines should be legal, regulated by the
government and taxed. They are too dangerous to leave to the criminals
of the black market.
