END THIS COUNTERPRODUCTIVE PROGRAM

Re: Glen Klose's Nov. 12 letter supporting the drug war: you defend a 
program which subsidizes organized crime, wastes tax dollars, 
endangers the community, deprives the public of billions in potential 
revenue and restricts medicinal use. It's also keeps cops busy, 
lawyers rich, courts clogged and jails full. Worst of all, 
prohibition deprives the public the basic right to choose what they 
can do with their own bodies based on junk science, propaganda and 
superstition. We are lobbying to end this wildly counterproductive 
program and you are trying to stop us. Just which side of law and 
order are you on?
