PLAY SAFE WITH DRUGS

Dear Editor:

I have seen drugs ruin people.

This isn't just another "say no to drugs" article; this is a warning
to daily consumers, especially if the main drug being consumed is
marijuana. The risk of marijuana isn't as bad as most adults would
claim, and is comparable to alcohol in terms of negative effects.

However, people need to realize that this drug leads to harder drugs
that can ruin their lives through addiction. When people learn this
themselves, they find it much harder to quit than they had thought.

If people choose to experiment with drugs, they should have a spotter
with them who can make a call to save their life. If this extra
precaution was taken, it would reduce the number of overdose
fatalities we have.
