Contact: http://www.naplesnews.com/ Details: http://www.mapinc.org/media/284 ACTION SENDS CLEAR SIGNAL Investigators did what they had to do when cracking down on a suspected drug activity centered at a popular bar/dining spot in Gulf Coast Town Center. With so much drug activity described by investigators as taking place out in the open, in clear view of family clientele and others, four employees of Miller's Ale House and 15 others were either arrested or sought. Authorities said it was common to see plastic bags of cocaine openly exchanged on the tops of tables and bars. We'll see how this plays out. For now, allegations of illegal activity are just that, allegations. Nothing has been proven in the court of law. Still, until we sort out the truth, strong signals have been sent by authorities. With the public shaming of the suspects, whose mug shots were posted at the Ale House, and the move by state authorities to suspend its alcoholic beverages license, officials were telling nightspots large and small to police themselves, or else. - --- MAP posted-by: Richard Lake
