COCAINE WARNING

A public alert has been advised in Alberta as cocaine has been sold that is 
laced with a dangerous substance that can harm an individual's immune system.

This condition is called agranulocytosis and can be fatal.

The substance used was probably a cutting agent and has been linked to 
Levamisole, a chemical compound developed to treat intestinal worms in 
humans and animals.

Some symptoms occurring are a fever or other signs of infection, skin 
abscess or lung infection that develops rapidly should also be treated 
immediately.
