DRUGS USED TO PREVENT CRIME

MOCK-UP drugs will be on display in High Wycombe town  centre on 
Saturday in a bid to help people keep their  homes secure.

The kit is part of an exhibition held twice a year in  the Chiltern 
Shopping Centre so home owners can gain  expert advice on crime prevention.

Members of Wycombe District Council, the Police,  Trading Standards 
and Bucks Fire and Rescue will all be  there just to name a few.

Geoff Pegg, chairman of the Wycombe District  Neighbourhood Watch 
Association, who helped arrange the  event, said raising the issue of 
drugs and crime was  important.

"The kit is made up of the main types of drugs, for  those who 
haven't seen cocaine and heroin, so they can  see a mock up.

"The connection is that drug addiction is the primary  cause of 
crime, particularly the types we are  interested in.

"We have been holding them for twice a year for a while  and we can 
claim each time, it is the largest crime  prevention event held in 
the Wycombe district."

The exhibition will be held between 9am and 3pm in the  Chiltern 
Shopping Centre.
