JURY FINDS MAN NEEDED MARIJUANA FOR HIS HIV

AMARILLO- A man charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession needed
to use the drug to treat symptoms of his HIV infection, a jury has
found.

Tim Stevens' attorney, Jeff Blackburn, argued that marijuana use was 
a necessity to treat nausea and vomiting.  He said he believes it's 
the first successful use of the necessity defense in a Texas marijuana case.
