DRUGS OR CANNABIS?

To the Editor:
The Valley Independent reported a police officer tested positive for 
drugs ("Mon City Cop Tests Positive For Drugs," March 25) but didn't 
report if it actually was "drugs" or the relatively safe God-given 
plant cannabis (marijuana) that is incorrectly but often referred to as a drug.

Cannabis should not be illegal and if a cop may drink beer or wine
after work they should be allowed to choose using cannabis, which is
safer.
