A POST-4/20 WAY TO PROTEST DRUG LAWS

I agree with the students of the University of Colorado NORML chapter
that there are many effective ways to change the laws regarding
marijuana and other drug policies. In support of the educational
events on April 20 organized by CU NORML, we here at Students for
Sensible Drug Policy would like to suggest one more way students can
help to end destructive drug prohibition policies.

Right now, Congress is deciding whether or not to repeal a federal
drug penalty that revokes college financial aid from students with
drug convictions.

Students who want to actually help overturn this harmful and unfair
penalty can visit www.ssdp.org/call and enter their zip code to get
the name and phone numbers for legislators who represent us in
Washington, D.C. All it takes is five minutes to call your two
senators and one representative and let them know how you, the
constituent, feel about this issue.

If we don't speak up about this anti-student drug penalty, who
will?
