Jo Ann Hensley, 58 of Mebane was arrested Wednesday following an investigation that she was allegedly delivering prohibited items, including marijuana, to inmate Jean Christopher Jerez, 18 of Graham, the sheriff's office said in a news release. The alleged incidents occurred from Aug. 11 to 13, officials said. Hensley, who had been employed at the sheriff's office for five years, was taken into custody without incident and placed in jail under a $2,500 bond at the Alamance County jail.
