Re: "Addict clinic faces appeal," Nov. 11.

Liquor store owner Steve Hart has concerns about "admitted drug
addicts coming into my store." I suspect we could possibly all live
quite nicely without Hart's liquor store; however, we would all be
hurt without the vital service that this clinic provides to its
clients in recovery. And yes, I would support this clinic relocating
to my suburban neighbourhood which is in proximity to transit. I think
we all know that's not going to happen, though. I applaud the clinic
and its clients for trying, yet again, to find a home where they can
once again go about the business of quietly getting on with their
productive lives - just as they've been doing for some time now prior
to all of this needless controversy. Let's hope those charged with the
task of hearing the appeals process will make the right decision and
put this issue to rest.
