CLINIC SPECIALIZES IN NATURAL REMEDIES

Wellness and natural healing are the keys to a healthy
lifestyle.

At least, that's what a new Windsor business believes.

A New Dawn Wellness Clinic, 520 1/2 Main St., opened its doors last
week and offers a variety of natural remedies for what ails you.

"My belief is that what God gave us here on Earth works," said owner
Greg. He requested his last name not be used for confidentiality purposes.

A New Dawn offers several holistic remedies, including medical
cannabis.

"It's a natural plant," Greg said. "And it gives different effects
depending on the strain of plant."

He became a believer in the plant's ability to calm pain after having
done research and learning about the cell glia in the human body.

"Glia actually fights the effects of opiates," Greg said. "Your body
becomes immune to opiates after a period of time, which is why people
can become addicted to them."

He emphasized that the marijuana plants are only intended to treat
pain.

"Kids aren't going to be able to buy our product for recreational
use," Greg said. "We take security very seriously at our store and
have installed multiple infrared cameras."

Besides, he added, if someone's brain isn't finished developing and
they begin using drugs, it can cause damage.

"This is not a product intended for stress relief," Greg
said.

The business offers other services besides medicinal cannabis; they
have a board-certified pain management doctor on staff, a masseuse
and offer vibe machine treatments and Chinese foot detoxes.

"The vibe machine puts the body at a healing frequency," Greg
said.

There are plans in the works to add other natural remedies, including
sugar substitutes, as the business builds a clientele.

"We want to help people," Greg said. "We also want to be a good
neighbor."
