MEXICO ISN'T COLOMBIA

Drug-cartel-led coup in Mexico? Please. Comparing Mexico's situation
to Colombia's is vitriolic hyperbole. Unlike Colombia, the Mexican
cartels do not have the "peasant" class politically backing them, the
rural economy is not based on illicit crops, and there is no guerrilla
militia promoting civil war.

I wonder if the Mexican newspapers are writing about the gang-based
carnage on Vancouver streets and the imminent demise of democracy in
Canada?
