I think that this is a great idea and that it should be put into action. Personally, I think that anyone who works for the government should be able to pass a drug test. If they are working for the government, then shouldn't they obey the government's laws and rules? I think so. A drug test is proving yourself to your employer and I think that all employers want to have things clear about who they are giving their money to. I don't think that is efficient at all not to know whether or not someone that is within the system that runs our country is under the influence of illegal drugs. We need to get drug tests into our system. No one within the government would still employ a person that is on drugs. Drugs make you unstable and that is why they are illegal. We need to know if the people that are keeping our country stable and secure are equally stable and secure. This is key to running a strong nation. All I'm asking is why not? If people sat that they are not on drugs then how is one little test going to hurt you? Mike Kilcoyne, Eighth grade, Phillip Steinbacher's class Island School - --- MAP posted-by: Larry Seguin
