EMPHASIS SHOULD GO TO MOST DAMAGING DRUG

Ice is a generational drug. Pregnant women who use it give birth to
drug-damaged children who have very little hope since both nature and
nurture are stacked against them.

Thank you to the Maui Police who broke up one of the many ice
operations on Maui. I hope that Chief Tom Phillips will concentrate on
this deadly drug that poses such a risk not only to future generations
but to everyone who comes into contact with the users.

Please, Chief Phillips, don't waste resources going after marijuana
when the ice problem is still overwhelming our people.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not advocating pot use. But marijuana's
harmful effects appear to be a lot less than the legal drug, alcohol.
The effects of pot can't be compared to the physical damage, social
destruction and addictiveness of ice.

Like the bumper sticker says, "Thanks to Green Harvest, our island is
on ice."
