CONTROL THE QUALITY AND TAX THE HECK OUT OF IT

Letter writer Chris Potts brings up some interesting points. However,
if he thinks keeping drugs illegal will stop his bus driver from
toking up before work, he's sadly mistaken. People will smoke whether
it's legal or not. The only difference legalizing certain drugs would
make is you could control the quality and tax the heck out of it. The
government would love to get its hands on that sort of revenue. There
are already laws in place to regulate doing certain things while
impaired, whether by alcohol, prescription drugs or pot.

(Given the reaction of medical marijuana recipients, the government's
interest in "quality" is questionable)
