This approach in the history of the war on drugs has been met, by criminals protecting their profits, with an intensification in violence and increasing distribution. This is a disaster in the making that will generate atrocious violence across America. These militarized cartels have been given an open door to expand across America by ill-conceived U.S. prohibition policies, passed by Congress and co-sponsored by the current and past presidents. This criminal anarchy can and should be avoided by democratically regulating the distribution of drugs. But our political leadership, beating a crescendo of drug war drums, prefers to ''just say no.'' Pat Rogers Allentown - --- MAP posted-by: Larry Seguin
