PROHIBITING USE OF MEDICAL MARIJUANA IN WORKPLACE DISCRIMINATORY?

Dear Editor,

Is House Republican Leader Bruce Hanna's goal (Proposed Bill Would
Prohibit Use Of Medical Marijuana In Workplace, Mar. 19, 2009) to
maintain a safe workplace? Then why doesn't HB3052 also target use of
the many prescription drugs that are known to cause safety concerns?

If citizens who use cannabis (marijuana) are too impaired to work
safely that is one thing but to single out sick citizens using
cannabis who are not too impaired to work safely is something else.
That's discrimination.

If HB 3052 is shown to be an act of discrimination it should be
rejected.

Truthfully,
