"I was attacked pretty seriously, and there were threats on my life [in my last campaign], so people are really at me." "Some of the Christian Taliban, as I call them, were really at me. It's very discouraging to do this, I don't wish this on anybody." Felger has been running for office for years, and said his "peace pipe" campaign came about partially because he still had signage from a previous municipal run. He called it his "campaign in a box." "It is funny, and it is still relevant . . . it is still time to smoke the peace pipe and move on to bigger problems that we have in B.C." With no real pressure on his free time, and his financial situation taken care of thanks to a history of savvy business dealings, Felger said he is still committed to getting the word about legalizing marijuana out to the public. Felger will be joined tonight at an all-candidates' meeting for Abbotsford South by NDP candidate Bonnie Rai, Liberal incumbent John van Dongen, Gurcharan Dhaliwal from the B.C. Conservatives and Green Party frontman Daniel Bryce at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium. The 2*-hour forum gets underway at 7 p.m. - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
