Over the past 20 years, his main bag (so to speak) has been pot, although he's also dabbled in selling ecstasy and cocaine. Ever been busted? "The cops came into my girlfriend's apartment because of a noise complaint. They found a roach in the ashtray and tore the place apart. Eventually, my buddy gave up his bag and I said the roach was mine so they wouldn't find the plants I was growing in the closet. Nothing happened in the end, though." Bugged by organized crime? "In Toronto I've never had a run-in with them. Back in my home town though, the whole city was run by bikers. Friends of mine were stabbed to death because they were growing, and when the Hells Angels came into Ontario, some people were beaten to death with baseball bats." Most dangerous moment? "Four guys kicked in my door and came down my hallway. I had a sawed-off shotgun behind my fridge, but I figured if I used it I'd go to jail. The funniest thing was that the weapon the one guy had was an antique cast-iron clothes iron that you warm up on the stove. It was the last thing I saw before he hit me with it. I was selling for a Satan's Choice guy at the time, and I couldn't pay the money I owed him after the robbery, so they gave me all this shitty catnip weed to sell." - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
