OUT-OF-STATER WEIGHS IN

I have always said that "As California goes, so goes the nation," so 
I pay attention to your economic plight.

May I strongly suggest that you consider legalizing marijuana? 
Obviously it hasn't hurt the fifth-largest economy in the world that 
a large portion of your population ingests marijuana. You could tax 
it and pay off all your bills, sell it and make scads more money, 
clear out your prisons, cut off the heads of the drug cartels, and 
set a precedent for the nation that is long overdue.
