THERE GOES THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Re: "Methadone clinic run out of town," July 9. There are a few
things I'd like to see run out of my backyard. Liquor stores attract
drunk drivers looking for their fix. Convenience stores attract young
people who hang out and cause trouble, plus they are responsible for
noisy traffic 24/7. Pharmacies sell dangerous drugs and attract the
criminal element.

Grocery and department stores are noisy, smelly and attract outside
traffic to my community. Churches--we all know the dangers of
pedophile priests and must protect our children from the possible.

Hospitals attract criminals looking for drugs and those noisy sirens
go off all night. Police stations actually bring criminals into my
neighbourhood and then let them out because of bleeding-heart
liberals. Once arrested, they should never be released.

Fire halls are too noisy and people are told to bring dangerous
chemicals there for disposal. Schools--who wants screaming kids near
their house? Besides, that's where the bullies are. Playgrounds are
too noisy and they attract pedophiles. People whose dogs might attack
my child or my dog; I don't want to have to kick them to death on
spec. What do you say, Calgarians? Let's run all these businesses and
people out of our city and make it safe for our children.
