CRITICAL REACTION NO SURPRISE

Why are the people of Braeside really all that surprised that they
have been pegged as uncaring and uncompassionate. ("Braeside criticism
unfair," Letters, July 13) The only thing I saw on the news was all
the hate for this clinic which was created to help people with
addictions. I guess no one in Braeside has addicts in their families,
because if they did, then they would understand the importance of such
a clinic.
