GROW-OP RAIDS EASY PICKINGS FOR POLICE

RE: Leave Me The Hell Alone, The Daily News, June 19.

Why are the RCMP spending so much time and money chasing a plant?
Because it is easy to find!

Anything growing takes time and stability, hence the raids on "even
legal" grow ops.

This makes the police look good in some people's view and that seems
to be enough for them.

Why do we rarely hear about what they are doing to stop all the
chemically derived drugs - meth, cocaine, crack, MDMA and oxycontin
that are widely available at local schools and are causing overdose
deaths every day?

As I drive through downtown and see an ever increasing number of
homeless staggering in the streets looking like zombies, I shudder in
fear for the future of our children.

Reefer madness? I think not! Chemical madness is the New Demon we
should all focus on stopping.

Anyone who takes time to research the use of marijuana will see the
propaganda for what it is.

Old school nonsense started to discriminate against those who were
racially different and poor.

There is big money being made in growing marijuana and not all of it
is gang related.

There is a Doctor in Kelowna starting his own medical marijuana grow
op for patients. Will he be next?
