On Oct. 9, the two officers were finishing a foot patrol in Ravine Park when they spotted a man pacing in front of a house in the 2500-block Bourquin Crescent East. They watched as a vehicle with two men pulled up and a drug deal took place, police say. Outnumbered and without a patrol car, the officers arrested the three men. In a citizen-filmed video of the arrests, one officer is seen kicking a suspect in the side. The other officer is later seen walking on the back of the man's legs. A week after the incident, one of the officers involved in the arrest stumbled across the video on YouTube and brought it to his supervisor's attention. Chief Const. Bob Rich directed the department's Professional Standards Section to bring the matter to the attention of the Office of the Public Complaints Commissioner to review the use of force. - --- MAP posted-by: Jo-D
