Regarding Kevin Vezina's sentence of 36 months for drug trafficking. He had cash and merchandise on hand worth $247,000 which was probably just this month's transactions. He was sentenced to three years and I know he will be out in 18 months. I'll let you know if I'm wrong. He was not fined to help pay for the investigation, trial and incarceration (generously paid for with our taxes). His sentence for possession of stolen property was concurrent to his sentence for trafficking which in layman's terms means "on sale, two crimes for the price of one." I have only one question. Is this sentence meant to deter or encourage crime? By the way, did you know that the maximum penalty for trafficking cocaine and heroin is life in prison, first offence.
