SHOW COMPASSION

Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III has a letter in the Nov. 14 LSJ,
concerning a letter regarding medical marijuana.

The letter writer was right on. I couldn't have said it better. Who
cares about the penalty for this substance that helps people with
chronic pain. Native Americans didn't have Vicodin or all the current
so-called painkillers that make me walk sideways. They used natural
materials. Whatever they could find to reduce pain, so did my French
and Acadian ancestors.

Currently, we can buy liquor on Christmas Day and early Sunday
morning. We all can carry guns. Our language in movies and on TV is
disgusting. Dunnings should rethink the medical marijuana issue. Or
get a good case of shingles or chronic pain. I vote for law officials
who have compassion.
