YOU CAN'T LEGALIZE A BAD SUBSTANCE

Neither alcohol or marijuana is a responsible act, and I'm glad the
state Legislature had the sense not to legalize the latter.

Many users of marijuana also go on to more potent illegal drugs,
which is more harmful.

Yes, alcohol does create more problems in abuse, both physical and
mental, to most family members and also kills and maims many daily.

On the other hand, drug use is responsible for mind-altering,
criminal activity and also abuse to their families.

Who would have been responsible for the carnage on the highways, if
it was legalized, when these "tokers" nod off and have no idea what
or where they are?

Not the government.

The reason Gov. Gregoire wanted it legalized was for the money, which
would have been taxed at 15 percent.

Now she'll tax candy and gum, bottled water and services.

And don't forget the tax on sinners who use legal tobacco, which does
not contribute to anything alcohol and marijuana does.

Which brings up second-hand smoke. Gregoire was willing to add
thousands of marijuana smokers without any concern for the increase
of second-hand smoke.

Tells me government doesn't care about this, either.

Illegal drug use is on the rise again with our youth, which I am sorry to see.

They are prime targets for drug dealers of many different varieties
of illegal drugs which are now available.

And there seems to be no way to stop it.
