Toth COLUMNIST ASKS TOO MUCH Editor, the Times: A political reporter is certainly entitled to his view about wanting to help those who are addicted to drugs. At the same time, there are many ordinary folks that believe using tax-payer funds to house and support an individual so he or she may continue to consume illegal drugs is simply wrong. And I assume that is what the prime minister's position is on this matter. If Keith Baldrey (Times, Feb. 16) wants to help drug addicts continue to use these illegal substances, then he's free to contribute funds to help such folks. But, for a reporter to complain that our prime minister should explain to him why taxpayer-funding will not be forthcoming for such houses is presumptuous. Most of us prefer not to help these poor addicts continue in their addictions. Mark B. Toth Abbotsford - --- MAP posted-by: Richard Lake
