PROHIBITION THE REAL PROBLEM

Editor, The Record:

Robert T. Rock missed the bullseye by not accurately recognizing the
"cancerous hold" on neighborhoods (More support needed to fight
marijuana grow-ops, Feb. 27, 2010).

Grow-ops are a secondary issue, but the primary problem is cannabis
(marijuana) prohibition, which denies regulated cultivation. The laws
of supply and demand are stronger than the laws of the land, and
cannabis use is growing in popularity partly because it is a much
safer alternative to drinking booze. Cannabis isn't going away and
government will never be successful in exterminating the God-given blessing.

So join the millions of North American citizens who are fighting
cannabis prohibition and you may have your wish. Large scale grow-ops
will be replaced with regulated cannabis farming, and everyone will
be happy. Except for discriminating prohibitionists, of course.
