MARIJUANA, MOONSHINE CARRY PENALTY OF LAW

To the editor: What's the problem with some of the members of Willie
Nelson's band smoking a little marijuana and drinking bootleg whiskey?

The problem is that it's against the law. When somebody gets caught
breaking the law, they have to pay the price if they are found guilty.
Just suppose that after Willie's show, the bus had been involved in an
accident and someone had been injured or killed (your wife, father,
child or friend). What would the reaction have been?

What kind of example is Willie's band setting for America's youth (our
children)? Maybe Willie's hand hurts from smoking too many of those
"left-handed cigarettes?" Just think how the people would have reacted
if Willie had been caught. Oh, and by the way, I am also disappointed
that Sen. Charlie Albertson is defending the actions of Willie's wild
band. I reckon he's going to need additional income since he ain't
going to run for re-election; sounds like he is planning on getting
back into the music business. I am sure Willie can be a big asset to
his comeback. Maybe Charlie can be Willie's opening act?

If Willie's wild band wants to come back to North Carolina and abide
by the law, they would be welcomed. If not, then they should be put
"On the Road Again." No question about law enforcement -- good job!
