HARPER DISAPPOINTS

It was disappointing to hear Prime Minister Stephen Harper say he
would not consider legalizing marijuana. He offered no meaningful
justification for his position, simply stating "drugs are bad," while
simultaneously promising a crackdown on drugs, guns and gangs. It
clearly hasn't dawned on Harper that the surest way to crack down on
gangs is to legalize drugs, cutting off their main source of revenue.
Until then, expect the violence to continue.

(Most Canadians don't support legalization.)
