LEGALIZE IT

Despite all of the other logical reasons for legalizing pot (The Big
Idea, "A whiff of change," April 25), the best reason still is that it
would take the money away from the drug cartels who have turned the
Mexican border with the United States into a murder capital.

The drug cartels' "mob tactics" have made parts of Mexico among the
most dangerous places in the world.
