His basic position is the war on drugs is too tough to win, so let's surrender. I am certainly glad he was not an elected official leading our country during World War II -- "We can't beat the Nazis, it's too tough to win this war, let's give up the fight." He said on TV we could not win the war in Vietnam so we should have quit trying. These events in America presented tough times and tough choices to the people. Luckily, our leaders in the past encouraged America to keep up the fight, not quit! Now O'Rourke wants us to quit fighting the drug war and give up. That's not the elected leadership that I want in our country. Besides, Mr. O'Rourke aren't you a city representative? Why don't you work more on the city of El Paso instead of spending time trying to solve Mexico's problems or criticizing Arizona for their laws?
